Owner Walid Achi Wins at MARRS #4

Summit Point, WV (June 11th) - After missing the first three MARRS (Mid-Atlantic Road Racing Series) events, owner of Funktion Auto, Walid Achi, took first place in the CSR class at the 4th MARRS event.

After making some modifications to his Radical SR3, Achi was forced to completely re-learn the car.  Following the first round of qualifying on Saturday, Achi found himself 8/10th of a second behind the leader.  Finally feeling more comfortable with the car, Achi found himself in pole position after the second and final qualifying session.

As the race began on Sunday, Achi maintained his first place position.  While his lead grew and shrunk continually throughout the race, Achi managed to remain in first.  In the end, it was Achi who crossed the finish line first to take the win.  Both driver and car performed incredibly well and set the stage for what is sure to be a great battle throughout the season.
