Radical now offers the choice of three extreme
sportscars, the SR3, the SR4 and the DSR Prosport. Three
cars similar in concept and performance but very different
in looks and execution. In their most extreme version,
all are capable of lapping a race circuit at Formula 3
times.
The DSR Prosport is a compact single-seater sports racer, which is raced throughout
Europe and the US. With nearly two hundred chassis sold to date, it is Radical's
most prolific and well-sorted car. Fitted with a highly tuned 1000cc Powertec
Suzuki and lightweight bodywork the DSR weighs a mere 400kg and is the ultimate
D-sport racer for the USA. 1300cc Powertec Suzuki installation makes for a very
cost-effective Radical Enduro Championship contender.
The
SR4 is a compact 450kg two -seaters sports racer and trackday car. The extreme
Radical styling of the SR4 was inspired by the Le Mans winning-Bentley and Audi.
Fitted with a 190bhp Powertec Kawasaki engine, the SR4 is eligible to race in
the highly popular 2 x 40km Radical Biduro championship. With room for two 6'
adults the SR4 is also a perfect trackday car. Autocar magazine enthused:
“Trackcars
don't come any faster, better or more exciting than this”. The
SR3 is some 7" wider than the SR4, weighs 500kg and is the ultimate endurance
racing and trackday car. In a recent 12 hour sportscar race at Magny Cours, Radical's
SR3's finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th and 8th. The ground-breaking design was
inspired by the successful SR2 Pilbeam Le Mans racer. Fitted with a 252bhp Powertec
Suzuki engine, the SR3 is eligible for the two-driver 2 × 100km Radical
Enduro Championship and the Radical Euro Cup.
Awarded the title of '
Trackday Car Of The Year ' by both Car
and Evo magazines, the SR3 is the proven ultimate trackday car.
The
SR8 is based
on the SR3 Turbo chassis, is powered by
the amazing Powertec RPA 2.6 liter macroblock V8 motor,
which produces 360bhp and revs to 10,500rpm. Drive is
via a Powertec-Quaife six-speed sequential transaxle
with integral torque biasing limited-slip differential.
With an all-up weight under 600kg, the SR8 possesses
600bhp per ton of smooth, controllable power.
The
SR8 has two
& half times the downforce of the SR3, more
mechanical grip, and 360bhp from the Powertec RPA
Macroblock V8. Eligible for the Powertec Cup, the
SR8 gives unbelievable performance per £, the SR8 is
the fastest sportscar on club racing and trackday
scene.
